Treasure Hunting

Today was a beautiful Texas spring day.  It was a little chilly but so bright and sunny that it was almost painful.  Chris and I enjoyed some quiet, down time after Mass while the kids napped and then we did one of our favorite things--geocaching.  Chris found two spots a few miles from the house.  The first was a cache hidden inside a chapstick container.  Probably the smallest cache we've ever found, it was attached to a long stick and hidden in the hollow of a tree lining Kingwood Lake.  We couldn't have picked a prettier place to spend a half hour.  We tried to find the second cache but it was hidden a little better and we were in a hurry to make Mia and Grace's religion classes.  We'll be back for that one.

Mia was the navigator.  She did a great job.

Mia finds the cache.

Grace and Sophie walking along the lake.

Me and Ella at the second cache--we'll be back and will look harder next time.
