Blue Bell, Blue Bonnets, Poodle Skirts and More!

The Ice Cream Men

Wednesday, April 8th
DAY 5 of The Lauderdales Come To Houston
PART I

Wednesday was packed with fun from beginning to end.  Everyone except Chris (poor Chris-he had to work) climbed into our two cars and headed to Brenham to meet my SIL Martina and kids at the Blue Bell factory.  We took the 11:00 A.M. tour which ended up being a little different from the one we did with my parents in January.  The best part was still the extra large sample at the end.
After the ice cream, picture taking and souvenir shopping, we all headed to a restaurant that my friend Jennifer had told me about.  It's a diner located at the Brenham Municipal Airport.  Our big group took over three tables outside.  The food was made from scratch and was delicious but my favorite part was the atmosphere.  We saw tiny planes coming and going during the whole meal while we looked out over the water and huge patches of blue bonnets.
