So, Sophie made the team.  I was a little worried because at the end of the year last year, despite many a lesson from Mommy, SRD still would not take a breath (though she got very good at swimming with her thumb up out of the water).  At the end of last week, several four year olds were told to wait until next year but Sophie wasn't one of them.  She was eager enough to follow instructions and a strong enough swimmer that the coaches decided to work with her to swim the length of the pool.  (I'm thinking she will be one of those kids--the ones that hold up the meet and sometimes have to be fished out by a coach :)

Then there's Grace.  She has been getting quite a few compliments on her strokes and is loving practice and the opportunity to see her friend Iman.  The other day, Chris asked her if she was going to beat her competition this summer and Grace said, "You mean it's a race?  Why didn't anyone tell me?"  Oh, Grace....never a dull moment.
