We pulled in to Casa Doyle at 10:00 PM last night after our second 13+ hour day of driving. Chris and I agree that we will do our next trip to VA in three days instead of two. A couple of picnics and detours would have helped make the drive a bit more bearable. The house has a new roof and new paint. It feels like someone else's home already. It goes on the market soon and we will enter into showing-the-house-mode. Hopefully, a buyer will come along quickly!
So, in other news, today, Sophie looked outside and decided our grass needed cutting. She lost no time in breaking out her scissors and going at it. She also chopped a piece of her hair--luckily a small piece.
It was a big day for Sophie all around. She also made the leap to Wahoo status. It was too chilly to get in the pool today--there was disappointment all around about that--but we will be back tomorrow and ready to take the plunge!
