Old Friends

It takes a long time to grow an old friend

I must have more than a dozen pictures like this one.  Sometimes they include Eileen Gilligan or Maureen O'Driscoll or both.  One features party crasher Chris Martin.  These are my friends from Saint Mary's Academy--my beloved high school that no longer is.  It closed two years after we graduated.  So we can't go back and walk the halls that hold our memories or park in the lot where we left our mark as seniors but we've been careful to keep the most important part of our high school years intact--our friendships.
